The Medical Laboratory Sciences program is one of two undergraduate programs in the state of Alabama. By choosing to follow a curriculum in MLS, you will prepare yourself to become an integral member of the health care team. Through their analysis of body fluids, tissues and cells, Medical Laboratory Scientists play a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and helping people stay healthy.
