The Office of Accountability and Advocacy (OAA) is a function of the Officeof Student Affairs.Consistent with the University’s mission and values, the OAA serves AUM students by educating, empowering, and enhancing their success through the curricular & co-curricular experiences.
The Office of Accountability and Advocacy is committed to assist students with their personal, academic and social development through educational programming, guidance, referrals when necessary, and skills designed to promote a safe and engaged campus community.
Vision
To fulfill its mission, the Office of Accountability & Advocacy will provide students and the campus community with opportunities, resources, and a caring environment that fosters student success.

Facilitate programs and opportunities designed to ensure that students, faculty, and staff are aware of the University’s expectations of student behavior in accordance with the Student Discipline Code and all other relevant policies.
Encourage lifelong learning by developing students’ ability to think critically and evaluate their personal values to aid in their future decision making through the use of educational sanctions, programs, and initiatives.
Promote and maintain student success by addressing student needs and concerns that might disrupt their efforts in achieving their personal and academic goals.
Assist the campus community with problem solving, interpreting campus policies and procedures, and promote awareness and learning by addressing student needs that includes but are not limited to: emergencies, mental health concerns, medical issues, natural disasters, death in the family, homelessness, and food insecurity.
