Auburn University at Montgomery’s Office of Continuing Education and Community Engagement coordinates, facilitates, and provides educational programs for nontraditional students and adults. We extend the resources of the University to persons not regularly enrolled as students on the AUM campus.
Programs take the form of noncredit courses and certificate programs. Offerings include programs in Professional and Personal Development, Customized Training, ACT Test Prep Classes, Law Enforcement Training, Certified Public Manager Program, Online Classes and Certificate Programs, Photography, Dance Classes, and (OLLI) Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Our nationally accredited Certified Public Manager® (CPM) training program is a dynamic and engaging training program that develops and enhances the skills of managers throughout Alabama. The CPM program utilizes projects and course material that inspire new ways of thinking and innovative approaches to solving problems.
Our training consultants work with organizational leaders to determine, design, and deliver the training session that best aligns with organizational goals. Training sessions may be delivered online or in-person and may be designed as a one or two-day seminar, half-day seminar, or even an hourly session. Groups will experience dynamic instruction and learning activities provoking thoughts and behaviors that lead to positive change.
The Alabama Crime Prevention Clearinghouse & Training Institute delivers continuing education opportunities that assist law enforcement, state agencies, community groups, and schools in removing or reducing crime in their community and throughout the State of Alabama. Our APOST certified instructors bring real world experience into the classroom.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Program is designed for adults age 50+ who are retired. OLLI courses are non-degree courses and require no homework, tests, or entrance exams. Some topics covered include literature, history, cooking, nature, writing, crafts, and hiking.

There are several hotels and restaurants near our facility located in a convenient area of East Montgomery.
