AUM Speech and Hearing Clinic is a full-service speech and hearing clinic, serving the university and surrounding communities for more than 30 years. Our audiologists provide:

Hearing aid evaluations and services
Occupational hearing testing
Auditory Processing Disorders testing and intervention
Our speech-language pathologists perform articulation, fluency, and language evaluations and therapy.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences prepares diverse healthcare professionals who are collaborative providers and leaders in the delivery of high quality, accessible, culturally-competent and compassionate care. The AUM Speech and Hearing Clinic is a teaching clinic that students in the Communication Disorders program are required to perform hands-on speech therapy to our clients while under the supervision of a certified audiologist or speech-language pathologist. Students are required to complete two practicum courses in Audiology (CMDS 4601 and CMDS 4621), which mandates a total of 10 hours of clinical time.
For Speech-Language Pathology, students perform one Observation in Speech course (CMDS 4911) for 25 hours of clinical observation and three semesters of a practicum course (CMDS 4914) in which students receive a total of 60 hours of hands-on clinical experience.
