Campus Parking
AUM continues to grow, which means our campus is busier than ever. In the interest of safety for our students, faculty and staff, and visitors and guests, and to accommodate the growing need for parking, AUM has a variety of parking options including parking meters, registered parking, and designated parking for residence halls and members of the Wellness Center.
Registration opens August 1.
Vehicle Information you will need to be able to complete your registration online will be your tag-license plate number, year, make, model, and color.
When logging in to the system, everyone will be required to enter their home address and cell phone number.

Below are the dates, times, and locations where students, faculty and staff can pick up their parking decals for the 2022-2023 academic year. If registering an AUM license plate/tag, please bring a copy of your tag receipt for verification purposes
Starting on August 22, 2022, decals and hang tags can be picked up at the Campus Police office in Taylor 267.
Resident Students
There will be no additional charge for residential parking permits. Resident Student parking permits are restricted to residential lots only and not in any of the general parking lots or the Wellness Center lot.
If you wish to add a general parking pass that allows you to park on campus outside of Housing lots, you may register for the Housing/General permit for a $30.00 fee. Decal fees will be placed on your student account.
Any student who purchases an AUM License Plate will receive their General Parking Permit for free.
Non-Resident Students
Commuter students parking passes/decals will be available for $30.00 for the academic school year. Decal fees will be placed on your student account.
General Permits
Parking for Faculty and Staff members who register for a General Parking permit are in white lined parking spaces only.
Reserved Permits
Faculty/Staff reserved parking spaces (orange lined spaces) are available for $75 per academic year.
Faculty/Staff members who are re-registering an AUM License Plate will only pay a $5.00 administrative fee.
Faculty Staff members who register an AUM License plate for the first time will receive a reserved parking decal and hangtag at no charge. Reserved permit fees will be placed on your AUM account.
All vehicles parking on campus (with the exception of those parking in metered spots) are required to be registered with campus police or park in a metered spot. All registered vehicles must display one of the following permits:
Parking fines of students, staff, and faculty must be paid online or in the Office of Student Accounts. Parking fines for non-students and non-employees can be paid at the AUM Police Department service desk 24 hours a day. See AUM’s official AUM Parking Policy for permit fees and other information.

Parking policy will be monitored for registration between the hours of 7 am–6 pm Monday through Friday.
Parking at the baseball, softball and soccer fields, intramural fields, and at running trail and track will not be monitored for registration.

Parking will be enforced by Campus Police.
Pay fines for parking violations in person at the AUM Police Department service desk, 24-hours a day. Violators may appeal fines to the Director of Police Operations at (334) 244-3424 or [email protected].
Safety escorts are available on campus to members of the campus community 24-hours a day, seven days a week. You may request a safety escort by calling 334-244-3424 or by stopping by the AUM Police Department service desk. If you need an off-campus safety escort, we can request that the local law enforcement agency meet you at your destination.
The AUM Police Department is authorized to monitor and enforce traffic and parking regulations. Its goal is to provide you with safe, lawful and reliable access to campus. Follow these traffic guidelines when operating a motor vehicle on AUM property:
Moving traffic violation or criminal citations are adjudicated through the appropriate municipal, circuit, or district court.
