Why AUM?

Completing a degree from any U.S. university can be challenging, so how is AUM different?

Excellent Academics

With over 90 degree programs, AUM ranks among the top universities in the Southeastern U.S. by U.S. News and World Report. In addition to detailed academics, we prioritize practical learning from faculty members who have hands-on experience in their field. In the College of Business, for example, students learn from faculty members who were former managers of Fortune 500 companies, renowned economists, certified public accountants, researchers, and software developers. Students can also gain real-world experience by participating in internships at area companies.

Vibrant Campus Environment

Focusing on your classwork is important, but at AUM, you’ll also have an opportunity to pursue your passions or find new ones. From concerts to student government to theatrical productions to seasonal events, there’s always something to do and ways to get involved. If you decide to live in one of our residence halls, you’ll be in the middle of all the cultural, social and sporting events that make AUM special. Over 60 clubs and organizations will help you dive into U.S. culture, enhance your resume, and build a network of lifelong friends.

Affordable Tuition and Fees

AUM’s tuition is much lower than many institutions in the U.S. Also, Auburn University at Montgomery offers a variety of international scholarships— up to $4,000 per year for qualified international students.

The Office of Global Initiatives works directly with international students from the moment you arrive in the U.S. until the day you graduate.
