International Student Orientation is designed to assist you with the transition to the United States. You will learn about academics in the United States, hear from professors, meet fellow students, and take a tour of the campus and Montgomery, Alabama. Breakfast and lunch is provided each day. It is imperative to bring your passport, Form I—20, and immunization/vaccine form to orientation.
Orientation days are planned to provide you with the necessary information to get around campus comfortably and find where to go. Not only will you get to know others who are attending AUM, but also meet the administration and staff of AUM. Orientation day is your day to become a Warhawk.

Shopping to purchase items needed for your daily life/ tour the surrounding area of AUM.

Each student will receive a link to take the test online at home or we can request a computer lab on campus. The link will be sent to their AUM email account. They have an hour and a half from clicking on the link for the test until the test ends.

45 students will test for the CSCI 5003 C++ Assessment Testing.

10:45 – 11:20 A.M. – Academics in the U.S.A. –Dr. Paul Fox will address the importance of the core curriculum at AUM, learning expectations, and academic dishonesty.
11:20 – 11:40 A.M. – Career Development Center – Mabs Seay will share information about the ways the Career Development Center supports students through resume building, interview skills, and job searching.
11:40 A.M. – 12:05 P.M. – Campus Technology – Tobias Mense will share information about Wi-Fi on campus, the Help Desk, email concerns, scams/fraud, and more.
