The AUM College of Education proudly provides continuing education programs in Counselor Education, Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Instructional Leadership, Instructional Technology, Kinesiology, Secondary Education, and Special Education.

All NEW graduate students qualify for ONE of the following scholarships:
Educator Advancement Scholarship – this is for any fully online graduate program in the College of Education.
Graduate Incentive Scholarship – this is for any graduate program that is NOT fully online.
Counselor Education
The skills and theories learned in AUM’s Counselor Education programs are applicable for those who wish to serve in settings such as:
Counselor Education courses use a blend of technology and media to support candidates in a variety of learning environments. These courses are designed to help counselors provide specially designed interventions for their clients and to work with diverse populations. AUM currently offers specialty counseling tracks in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. An internship is required.
Elementary & Early Childhood Education
The AUM College of Education’s childhood education program prepares students to become leaders as public or private classroom teachers, daycare teachers or directors, tutors, and educational publishing consultants.
Instructional Leadership
The College of Education will collaborate with local education agencies to develop effective and ethical instructional leaders. Graduates of this program will be prepared to serve as competent, committed and reflective professional educators and have a positive impact on student achievement and the overall instructional process. A residency is required.
Instructional Technology
AUM offers both a Master’s and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Technology. This degree area is designed for teachers, staff, and administrators who want to increase their understanding of the growing role of technology in enhancing student learning. All Instructional Technology programs are fully online.
Kinesiology
(Physical Education Teacher Education, Sport Management, and Exercise Science)
Coursework in Kinesiology is designed to meet the needs of students and prepare them to work in both school and non-school settings. Courses are designed to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills; both theory and practical application is utilized.
Secondary Education
AUM offers secondary education graduate degrees (both traditional and alternative) in concentrations including English Language Arts, History, Social Science, Biology, General Science or Mathematics, as well as Art Education (P-12 certification), A degree in Secondary Education prepares students to teach at the junior and senior high school levels, 6th through 12th grade.
Special Education
Special Education programs of study prepare candidates to provide academic and support services to students with disabilities. Courses enhanced with technology focus on the latest evidence-based teaching and learning strategies as well as assisting the candidate in developing his/her professional identity and professional practice.
The AUM College of Education is constantly seeking the improvements of the pre-service teacher education program. The internship experience provides the COE and the cooperating school districts opportunities to contribute to the further development of the AUM teacher candidate.
