Program Description
Master’s degrees are offered for both traditional or alternative in Biology, English Language Arts, General Science, History, Mathematics, and Social Sciences. Scholarships are also available for these programs through the Educator Advancement Program or the College of Education Incentive Program.
Some Classes in the program are online while others are either hybrid on on-campus.
The Alternative Master’s in Secondary Education is available for those who have NOT earned an undergraduate education degree or teacher certification. The Traditional Master’s in Secondary Education is for those who already hold a valid Class B Professional Educator Certificate.
Courses are enhanced with a technology focus on the latest evidence-based teaching and learning strategies as well as a focus on assisting the candidate in developing his/her professional identity and professional practice as an educator.
