The College of Sciences is a diverse academic unit offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs through its four departments: Biology and Environmental ScienceChemistryMathematicsComputer Science, and Psychology.

The College of Sciences offers students a scientific education to meet the needs of the 21st century, allowing them to compete for a variety of careers in an increasingly complex and evolving world.

Biology and Environmental Science

The undergraduate Biology program includes a variety of programs, including concentrations in Health Sciences, Molecular Biology, Public Health and Microbiology and more. You can also study Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a concentration, a  master’s degree, or a certificate program.

Chemistry

The Chemistry major is designed for those wishing to become working chemists. The Chemistry Professional option is designed for students who wish to become working chemists or who plan to attend graduate school in chemistry. We also offer Forensic Science concentration options for those planning on careers in healthcare.

Computer Science & Computer Information Systems

The Computer Science & Computer Information Systems department offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. AUM also offers the Master of Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity and the Master of Science in Computer Science.

Mathematics

The Mathematics department offers a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with two optional tracks: Mathematics/Secondary Education and Pre-Engineering.

Psychology

To increase your understanding of yourself, your community, and your culture, the College of Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Psychology, which students can earn either by completing a practicum, or by successfully completing and defending an original research project (thesis).
