Because of AUM’s small student-to-teacher ratio, faculty members get to know their students, translating into more personalized learning. The Department of Chemistry offers bachelor’s degree programs that prepare you for graduate school or professional schools in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry and physical therapy. Many of our graduates go directly to work in the chemical industry.

The Chemistry major is designed for those wishing to become working chemists, and is the basis for the Chemistry Pre-Health curricula.
The Chemistry Professional option is designed for students who wish to become working chemists, as well as those who plan to attend graduate school in chemistry.
