The AUM English Club provides a place for creative writers to share their work through open-mic gatherings (Poeticas) and encourages student engagement with the community through literature-related events and volunteer projects.
Filibuster is a student-run publication of student writings, graphic art, and graphic design. It includes poetry, short stories, songs, journal entries, short plays and play excerpts, screenplays, and other miscellaneous genres and forms.
Students have an opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into the government financial management sector and become affiliated with the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and Association of Government Accountants (AGA) professional organizations at the international level as well as regional level.
This club is a way to meet fellow criminal justice majors, ride along with the Montgomery Police Department and hear from guest speakers such as FBI special agents and police chiefs. Members can also tour prisons, communication centers, and police stations.
