About the Club
The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (ΣΘΤ) is the second-largest nursing organization in the world with approximately 135,000 active members. While often referred to by nurses as Sigma Theta Tau or Sigma, its official name is “the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International”.
For more than 90 years, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) has been recognizing and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. The Kappa Omega chapter at Auburn University at Montgomery is proud to have been a part of this global community of nursing for 27 years.
Nursing professionals not previously inducted as nursing students can join STTI as a Nurse Leader. Students in graduate programs who meet the Nurse Leader criteria shall be eligible to be considered as a Nurse Leader at any point in the program.
The Kappa Omega Chapter is currently looking for nominations or self-nominations from the community. For more information, please contact Dr. Julie Freeman at [email protected] or (334) 244-3142.
