About the Club

The mission of the association of nursing students is to foster nursing education, facilitate unity among our future colleagues, and to optimize the nursing student’s exposure to the numerous specialties and pathways in the ever-changing field of nursing.

Auburn University Montgomery Association of Nursing Students (AUMANS) is the local affiliate chapter of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) in the School of Nursing. AUMANS work together to coordinate events that enhance faculty and student engagement through volunteering in the community, participating in class pinning, and supporting the School of Nursing curriculum. Members have the opportunity to utilize numerous benefits such as scholarships, awards, and discounts on NCLEX preparation resources, hotel reservations, professional printing, professional attire and accessories, and many more.

AUMANS membership is obtained once a student has entered his/her upper division courses, completed their national registration for NSNA and submitted local dues. Upon successful completion of the first upper division semester, each Nursing cohort elects a group of their peers to hold office within the AUMANS organization in representation of their cohort. Serving as an officer provides excellent leadership experience notable to highlight in a professional resume and carry on throughout one’s career.
