Yes. AUM recognizes that some of today’s most exciting and high-demand careers exist at the intersection of traditional scientific disciplines. Our College of Sciences supports interdisciplinary study in emerging fields such as Data Science, AI and Robotics, Information Technology and Cybersecurity, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Environmental Science, Bioinformatics, and Forensic Science, among others. These programs are designed to equip students with a versatile, cross-disciplinary skill set that reflects the complexity of modern scientific challenges and the evolving needs of employers across a wide range of industries. Students pursuing a BA degree in Biology also have the flexibility to pair the degree with one or more minors or a seconddegree program, as desired. Importantly, the AUMTeach program offered jointly by the College of Sciences and the College of Education allows students in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science and Math pursue their science degree along with a minor in STEM Education that would allow them to sit for certification to teach science or math at the junior high or high school level.
