Department of Fine Arts
Based on the experience and expertise of renowned professors and instructors who have exhibited their work across the globe, students of Fine Arts at AUM learn traditional and contemporary principles, methods and techniques for building specialized roles in the field, emphasizing personal expression and specialization in a variety of art careers including graphic design, drawing and painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics and art history.
Through a combination of coursework, focused studio time and collaboration with fellow students and faculty members, you can earn the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art with a choice of five concentrations or a Bachelor of Art in Fine Arts with a choice of two concentrations.

Nikhil Ghodke
Associate Professor | College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
Nikhil Ghodke teaches graphic design at Auburn University at Montgomery and consults as a creative for companies across the world. Previously he has worked for Y&R(now VMLYR), Colenso BBDO and Lowe Lintas ad agencies, and his clients include, Turner TV(USA), Sky TV(New Zealand), VH1(India), Comedy Central(India), ABP News(India). He has previously held teaching positions at Media Design School, New Zealand and Manhattanville College, New York. Over the last 15 years, he has worked on projects associated with Nike, ACI, Hallmark, History Channel, Home Shopping Network, Axcient and Burger King. He has won AVA, Apex, Summit and Hermes awards for his work.
