Making Every Note Count
A music minor is a great option for a student who is passionate about music–or at least curious about its origins and components–but who chooses to major in another field. Music is pervasive in society and in our personal lives, and understanding more about it broadens and deepens us as humans.
The Music minor at AUM is a flexible program in which students can combine musical performance courses and academic courses in many different ways. There is one required course in which students are introduced to the notation and theory of Western music. The remaining nine credits may be earned in any course with a MUSI designation. The Spirit Band and the AUM Chorus may be taken as one-credit-hour classes and may be repeated for credit.
