What have you enjoyed most about your time at AUM, and specifically, about your time living on campus?

The roommates I had while living on campus made the time here so enjoyable. Although, we were all strangers, I was able to become very close with them. It was nice to have people to rely on.

Why did you decide to become a Resident Assistant?

I wanted to become a Resident Assistant to help other students. As someone that has struggled with anxiety for a long time, I know it can be hard reaching out to others. So, I want the Housing residents to know that I am someone they can lean on.

What do you hope to accomplish in your community during your time as an RA?

I hope to build a community!

What are your hopes for future career goals and plans?

After graduating, I plan on traveling to experience different cultures and write down what I learn about and from them. I am always educating myself on different cultures outside of my own.

Becoming an RA was a chance for me to affect young adults’ lives and their college experience in a positive and creative manner. I want to ensure all students — student veterans, students with needs, student athletes, local and international students alike — have a home away from home because I know how it feels to have to adapt and make a new environment fee like home.

What do you hope to accomplish in your community during your time as an RA?

I hope to bring a sense of belonging to my community. I want it to be a positive and motivating environment.

What are your hopes for future career goals and plans?
