Featured Alumni: AUM Alumnus Angelo Perryman Named Chairman of GBCA
AUM alumnus Angelo Perryman has been elected Chairman of the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA), one of the leading construction organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region. As President and CEO of Perryman Construction, he brings more than 35 years of industry leadership and a commitment to workforce development, economic growth, and community impact.
Alumni Spotlight: From AUM Mustang Battalion to US Army Officer
AUM Army ROTC cadet and business administration graduate Lateasha Goldsmith was recently commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. She will begin her military career as a chemical officer before transitioning into her primary branch as an adjutant general officer.
Warhawks Supporting Warhawks
Alumni Association awards two Graduate Study Merit Scholarships.
Through the support of AUM Alumni Association members, graduate students Ken Washington and Derek Flowers are continuing their educational journeys while preparing to make an impact in their professions and communities.
Ken Washington
Ken Washington, Director of Officials for the Alabama High School Athletic Association, is pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management at AUM.
“Earning this award not only supports my educational pursuits but also enables me to continue providing service to others.”
Derek Flowers
Inspired by his experience as a secondary French teacher, Derek Flowers is pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts degree at AUM and plans to continue his coursework and research at the doctoral level.
“The Graduate Study Merit Scholarship helps me move one step closer toward my goals. Ultimately, my purpose is to create pathways for other students, particularly those who may be first-generation college students as well.”
Their scholarships are made possible through the support of AUM Alumni Association members who invest in the success of future Warhawks.
