Warhawk Weekly 5-26: Gordon to lead AUM baseball; Flying Warhawks Camp
Former Warhawk returns to lead AUM baseball
AUM Athletics has named Tanner Gordon as the next head coach of the Warhawk baseball program.
Gordon brings 14 years of coaching experience across collegiate and professional baseball, including multiple conference championships and NCAA postseason appearances. A familiar face to the program, he played at AUM in 2010 and 2011.
“I’m incredibly honored and humbled to return to Auburn University at Montgomery as the head baseball coach,” Gordon said. “The history and tradition of this program are strong, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help lead it into the future.”
After his time at AUM, Gordon continued his playing career professionally in the Arizona Developmental League and North American Baseball League.
Most recently, he served as a minor league pitching coach for the Seattle Mariners organization, working with top prospects and impacting player development across multiple levels.
