The Warhawk Academic Success Center is a one-stop shop for all of your academic support needs. We are located primarily on the second floor of the Ida Belle Young Library Tower; the Instructional Support Lab is in 202-203 Goodwyn Hall. All of our services are FREE of charge to AUM students.
In the WASC, students can meet with their Student Success Advisor and develop an individualized plan for academic success. Students who are concerned about paying for college can visit our Student Financial Counselor and discuss all of the ways we can help make your AUM education more affordable.
We have two FREE tutoring centers. You can schedule an appointment at the Learning Center in the WASC or drop in at the Instructional Support Lab in Goodwyn Hall.
Also located within the WASC is the Bridge Program where our Bridge students come for advising, mentoring, and tutoring.
The team members at the Warhawk Academic Success Center are dedicated to supporting you. We look forward to helping you reach your goals!
The WASC is still here to serve you! We can meet with you while social distancing, or we can meet through Zoom and Blackboard Collaborate if you are more comfortable being remote. Email us anytime at [email protected] or call us at (334) 244-3230.
The Learning Center provides free tutoring services related mainly to writing, liberal arts, and other subjects in the core curriculum. Our tutors/consultants are highly qualified people in their fields who receive training in techniques to enhance learning. Student Success Advisors are professional staff members who help students successfully engage in their academic experiences by providing opportunities through which they learn about and practice the skills needed to be successful college students.
Deserve a pat on the back for your academic performance?
A nudge in the right direction?
Curtiss Check-in is here for you.
If you qualify, our Bridge Program will provide you with extra academic support for one semester prior to gaining full admission to AUM. During the Bridge semester, you will be enrolled in courses designed specifically for “bridging the gap” to a continued and successful college career. Throughout the semester, faculty and staff will assist you by teaching you skills needed for success in college.
Navigating your way through college can be difficult for anyone, but it can be especially challenging if you are the first person in your family to try it. The First Generation Warhawk Program team is made up of faculty, staff, and students like you who were the first in their household to attend college. We are here to support you from the admissions process all the way through graduation.
