Bio: After graduating high school, Christine attended Huntingdon College here in Montgomery where she majored in art and psychology. She later received her Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Eastern Michigan University. She has been a part of the AUM team since 2013, first as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor, and as Tutoring Services Manager since 2021. She and her husband have three children, all of whom give her ample opportunities for teaching and learning every day.
Growing up, she often interacted with people from other cultures through her father’s job. This fostered a love of not only learning about these cultures, but also supporting others’ growth through teaching. To Christine, it’s very gratifying to witness a student suddenly understand a concept they had been struggling with. She believes these moments create confidence and motivate students to continue putting in the work it takes to be successful academically.
