Summer Financial Aid Information
Students interested in applying for federal financial assistance for the summer semester may complete the 2025 Summer Request Form after registering for summer courses. Financial aid for the summer semester is typically based on unused eligibility and remaining funding from the 2024-2025 aid year. Students must also meet all components of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy once spring grades are posted.
Summer Financial Aid Requests open on March 4, 2025
Financial Aid Availability
Pell Grant recipients who have not exhausted their annual limits in the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters will have remaining scheduled Pell Grant funds available for the Summer semester. Pell Grant recipients who have exhausted their annual limit in the Fall and Spring semesters may have additional Pell Grant eligibility, based on enrollment intensity, for the Summer semester.
Federal student loans are available to students who have not reached their annual and/or aggregate loan limits. Applicants must be enrolled at least half-time (6 undergraduate hours or 3 graduate hours) for loan consideration for the summer semester.
Summer awards must be reviewed manually by the Office of Financial Aid, and in many circumstances, eligibility cannot be determined until spring grades have posted (for currently enrolled students). Therefore, your patience is requested while your application is processed. Applications will only be processed after you have registered for summer courses. An award notification or an update indicating you have no remaining eligibility will be emailed to your AUM email account once your application has been processed. Summer aid eligibility is subject to Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. If you do not meet SAP requirements after spring grades are posted, you may lose eligibility for summer aid.
