Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is a federally-funded grant awarded on the basis of financial need. The Federal Pell Grant is awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or a professional degree. The amount of Pell Grant awarded can change from year-to-year, and is contingent on the following:
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
The Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is a federally-funded grant awarded based on exceptional need and availability of funds. Funding for the FSEOG is limited each year, therefore, not all eligible aid applicants can be offered an award from the program. Priority consideration during the initial awarding period is given to students that complete the FAFSA by the March 1st priority date.
Alabama Student Assistance Program (ASAP)
The Alabama Student Assistance Program (ASAP) Grant is a state funded grant awarded based on exceptional need and availability of funds. Funding for the ASAP Grant is limited each year, therefore, not all eligible aid applicants can be offered an award from the program. Priority consideration during the initial awarding period is given to students that complete the FAFSA by the March 1 priority date.
Federal TEACH Grant
The TEACH Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who are completing or plan to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching.
