Leaning toward a degree in business but want to explore different fields before choosing a specialization? Are you working full-time and need the convenience of online courses? The General Business major is a great choice for students who want flexibility in how they earn a degree, and is the only College of Business major that may be completed online. Many students start their college journey as General Business majors and change to a business specialization that matches their career goals. Other students choose General Business to accommodate schedule needs or flexibility in coursework.
Students whose intended career paths include working with global companies and who are able to complete courses in an on-campus learning environment may choose the International Business option of the General Business major. This option combines training in marketing and management with an appreciation for cultural differences that affect business relations in the global marketplace.
Your General Business major will be unique and designed to fit your career path. The example occupations below require a bachelor’s degree and could fit well with a General Business major as well as the International Business option.
