The College of Business is accredited by the AACSB International, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious business school accrediting organization. Of the more than 1,400 business programs in the nation, only 418 are AACSB accredited. AUM was first accredited in 1986, and has the only AACSB accredited program in Montgomery.

In 2011 the College of Business achieved accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting program from AACSB in addition to the overall accreditation it had for the undergraduate and graduate programs in the College. AUM is now one of five business schools in Alabama, and one of 177 worldwide, with both business and accounting accreditation.
