In addition to other AUM scholarships awarded, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences offers excellent scholarship opportunities to students throughout the academic school year.
Even though AUM is one of the most affordable state universities in Alabama, paying for college can be difficult. The largest number of scholarships awarded by AUM are awarded centrally. Please contact the Office of Admissions to learn more.
Various scholarships are offered within the College of Arts in Sciences. Most of these are offered by individual departments. To find out more in your area of interest, consult the pertinent department.

A number of smaller scholarships are awarded in the amount of $500 and $250 for one semester. Applicants must be an Economics major with a minimum 2.75 overall GPA.

The AUM Fine Arts Department offers a variety of scholarships, based on merit and partly on financial need. Students must major in a discipline within the Fine Arts Department.
Christie Tarantino-Dean Endowed Scholarship: One annual $1200 (approximate) tuition scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled in the Master’s in Public Administration program at time of application and during the award period (fall and spring semesters), and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
River Region Ethics Scholarship: One annual $1,500 (amount varies each year) tuition scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled in the Master’s in Public Administration program and must have a current graduate GPA of 3.75 or above.

Political Science Scholarship Opportunities Margaret V. Moody Endowed Scholarship: One annual $1,300 (approximate) tuition scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled in the Political Science and Public Administration program at the time of application and during the award period and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Steven C. Williams Endowed Student Award: One annual $1,300 (approximate) tuition scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled in the Political Science and Public Administration program at the time of application and during the award period. Applicants must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
