AUM earns Top 10 recognition as ‘Military Friendly’ university

For the eighth consecutive year, Auburn University at Montgomery has been nationally recognized as a “Military Friendly® School” — earning a Top 10 ranking in the Small Public School category and also being designated a Military Spouse Friendly School for 2025-2026.
The distinction, awarded by Viqtory Media and published in G.I. Jobs magazine, places AUM among the top institutions nationwide committed to creating opportunities for veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. AUM was ranked earned the No. 9 national ranking in its category, underscoring its strong support system for military-affiliated students.
“We are grateful to serve the educational needs of so many students who have prioritized service to their country,” said AUM Chancellor Carl A. Stockton. “We are honored to once again be recognized as a Military Friendly® university. One advantage in understanding the needs of military-affiliated students is that many of our faculty and staff members are veterans themselves or are part of military families. That valuable perspective shapes everything from classroom teaching to student support.”
AUM’s longstanding commitment to military-affiliated students
