Summer STEAM Camp

The College of Sciences, The Department of Biology and Environmental Science, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and the Department of Fine Arts are excited to host a STEAM camp that will take place at the new Science and Technology Complex from July 7 – 25 (business days only).

  • Camp is limited to 70 participants on a first-come/first-serve basis
  • The camp is eligible to students in grades 7-12 at the following middle and high schools:
    • Bellingrath Middle School
    • Brewbaker Middle School
    • Carr Middle School
    • Capitol Heights Middle School
    • Dunbar-Ramer School
    • Carver High School,
    • Johnson Abernathy Graetz High School
    • Percy Julian High School
    • Goodwyn Middle School
    • McKee Middle School
    • Southlawn Middle School
  • Workshop is Free
  • A $20 space registration fee is required. The fee is only charged in the event that a student doesn’t attend the camp and a 5 business day notification isn’t provided to camp staff prior to the camp commencing

All 70+ students will receive exposure to Fine Arts and Biological and Physical Science and will have the opportunity to focus in one area for the remainder of the camp. Parents/guardians may sign-up their camper here.

The three-week camp has been made possible via a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education.
