AUM Spring Festival & Bioblitz
April 22nd, we will have a spring celebration in the AUM Forest organized by the Warhawk SEEDS student chapter and the Rural History and Ecology Research Institute.
The event will start at 3pm, it will be open to the public, fun activities we have planned so far include
1. Beetle trapping & identification (Brian Holt, AL DCNR)
2. Nightly moth trappings & identification (John Trent, AL DCNR)
3. Thermal drone flights in the evening hours (Nick Cuba)
4. Echolocation of bats (Matt Grilliot)
5. Invasive plants (Claudia Stein)
6. Bird walk
7. Bonfire, BBQ & Smores
