2025-26 Cheerleading Tryouts – Day 1
Calling all spirited athletes!
Auburn University at Montgomery is excited to announce the upcoming Cheerleading Tryouts for the 2025-2026 academic year. Join our dynamic cheerleading program that offers both competitive opportunities and the chance to represent AUM at various university and athletic events. Our program emphasizes excellence in technique, performance, and sportsmanship while providing valuable scholarship opportunities for qualified candidates. If you’re passionate about cheerleading and looking to continue your athletic journey at the collegiate level, we encourage you to showcase your talents at our upcoming tryouts.
AUM Cheerleading Tryouts:
- Dates: May 2-3, 2025
- Time: Starting at 5 p.m.
- Location: AUM Wellness Center
- Application fee: $40 (due May 2, 2025)
Eligibility:
- High school seniors (acceptance letter required)
- College transfers (acceptance letter required)
- Current AUM students
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
Skill Requirements:
- Advanced motion technique
- Intermediate-level stunting (minimum)
- Advanced stunting skills (preferred)
- Tumbling not required, but preferred
Scholarship Opportunities:
- Base scholarships starting at $1,000/year
- Additional scholarships for athletes with:
- Standing back handspring & round-off back handspring series ($300 scholarship)
- Standing tuck/cartwheel tuck & round-off back handspring tuck ($500 scholarship)
- 3.75+ GPA ($300 scholarship)
