The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences offers students a traditional liberal arts education to meet the needs of the 21st century, allowing them to compete for a variety of careers in an increasingly complex and evolving world.
AUM’s Master of Liberal Arts program is the only interdisciplinary master’s degree program in the state of Alabama, offering specialized classes in the various liberal arts disciplines, including English. Students take core classes in the program and then focus on their chosen disciplines.

The M.P.A. program at AUM prepares students for management positions in the nonprofit sector and various administrative and management opportunities in local, state, or national government. The Auburn University at Montgomery master’s degree program in political science is designed for graduate students to gain rigorous, advanced training in core political science ideas and cutting-edge research and statistical methodology. The Master of Science in Criminal Justice explores a detailed analysis of our criminal justice system and provides students skills that apply to law enforcement, security, corrections, and juvenile justice.
The program is accepting applications for the Fall 2018 semester. The MS in Applied Economics has options in Health Care Economics, the Economics of Government and Law, and General Economics.
