AUM’s Master of Liberal Arts program is the only interdisciplinary master’s degree program in the state of Alabama, offering specialized classes in the various liberal arts disciplines, including English. Students take core classes in the program and then focus on their chosen disciplines.

This program prepares today’s military personnel, law enforcement, IT specialists, emergency management professionals and similar individuals to anticipate and handle threats to public security and safety.

The M.P.A. program at AUM prepares students for management positions in the nonprofit sector and various administrative and management opportunities in local, state, or national government. The Auburn University at Montgomery master’s degree program in political science is designed for graduate students to gain rigorous, advanced training in core political science ideas and cutting-edge research and statistical methodology. Students learn how to develop, test, and interpret answers to relevant research questions with significant policy implications. This in-depth training program in political science is designed for students who seek academic or professional careers.

The Master of Science in Criminal Justice explores a detailed analysis of our criminal justice system and provides students skills that apply to law enforcement, security, corrections, and juvenile justice.
