We look forward to seeing you at New Undergraduate Student Convocation 2023 on Friday, August 18.
While a convocation is a formal gathering, AUM’s New Student Convocation has a lot of informal (and fun!) elements designed to welcome you to — and show you what it means to be a part of — Warhawk Nation.
Students will meet in the Taylor Center at 9:30 a.m. for a procession to the Athletic Complex, where the Convocation ceremony and other activities will start at 10 a.m.
Students and faculty marshals begin to convene in Taylor Center (Sciences and Education meet in Taylor 230; Business, Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, Nursing & Health Sciences, and Exploratory meet in Taylor 221–223).
9:45 a.m. Meet Up
Faculty and staff will line-up on the sidewalk between the library and the Athletics Complex. Faculty, please arrive in your regalia. The Dais Party will convene in the Hospitality Suite of the Athletics Complex.
9:50 a.m.Head Over
Students will proceed from Taylor Center to the Athletics Complex. Students will be grouped by college, led by the associated faculty marshal. Students will walk through the hallway via the southwest door to the gym and receive welcoming applause by faculty and staff.
10:00–11:00 a.m.New Student Convocation Ceremony
At the AUM Athletics Complex, faculty, staff, administrators, and fellow students will welcome you and share what it means to be a part of the Auburn University at Montgomery family.
