AUM’s on-campus MBA program named among The Princeton Review’s ‘Best Business Schools for 2027’

Auburn University at Montgomery’s on-campus Master of Business Administration program has been recognized by The Princeton Review as one of its “Best Business Schools for 2027,” placing AUM among 208 MBA programs nationwide recommended for graduate business education.

The annual designation recognizes MBA programs that demonstrate excellence in academics, faculty, student experience, career preparation and overall educational quality. Rather than assigning numerical rankings, The Princeton Review identifies business schools it recommends based on extensive surveys of administrators and MBA students. For the 2027 edition, the organization evaluated more than 60 data points collected during the 2025-26 academic year.

“This recognition affirms the exceptional quality of AUM’s MBA program and the value it delivers to students preparing for leadership roles in today’s economy,” said AUM Chancellor Carl A. Stockton. “Our university is committed to providing a rigorous, student-centered education that combines academic excellence with practical experience. National recognition from The Princeton Review reinforces the strength of our academic programs and our commitment to student success.

AUM’s College of Business has consistently earned placement on The Princeton Review’s “Best Business Schools” and has also earned recognition from U.S. News and World Report and Fortune for the quality of its programs.

Additionally, AUM’s College of Business is among the top one percent of business schools internationally by virtue of its accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The college’s academic program areas include accounting, finance, general business, human resource management, information systems, management and marketing. Among the college’s points of distinction is the Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory, the first facility of its kind nationally to be housed within a business school.

The Princeton Review has published its annual business school recommendations since 2004 to help prospective students identify MBA programs that best fit their academic and professional goals. According to The Princeton Review Editor-in-Chief Rob Franek, the organization recommends schools that offer “strong academics, robust opportunities for experiential learning, excellent career services, and positive feedback from their customers, their very own students.”

The Princeton Review’s annual guide is based on surveys of administrators at 245 on-campus business schools and more than 24,000 MBA students. Schools are evaluated on academics, admissions, faculty, technology, campus culture, career services and student satisfaction. The 208 selected institutions are featured on The Princeton Review’s website with profiles designed to help prospective students compare MBA programs.
