  1. Staff Council Excellence in Administrative Support Award

  This award recognizes non-exempt frontline staff members for excellence in their administrative roles. Nominees for this award demonstrate a commitment to providing extraordinary customer service to students, faculty, and staff. They exhibit exceptional organization skills and attention to detail in managing administrative tasks. They also may have implemented innovative approaches to streamline office processes and enhance operational efficiency.

  2. Staff Council Excellence in Campus Services Award

  This award recognizes non-exempt staff members for outstanding performance in auxiliary services, campus services, and facility operations. A candidate for this award is known to provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and demonstrates expertise and proficiency in performing assigned tasks. They also show a commitment to enhancing the quality of service provided and building up the reputation of his or her unit or department.

  3. Staff Council Excellence in Professional Service Award

  This award recognizes exempt staff members for their strong commitment to enhancing the university’s standing and public image. Individuals nominated for this award actively participate in community service or volunteer initiatives that positively represent AUM. They engage in activities that promote AUM’s values and mission to external stakeholders and contribute to efforts that strengthen the university’s visibility and presence in the local community and beyond.

  4. Staff Council Student Choice Award

  This award recognizes staff members nominated by AUM students for their exceptional commitment to fostering positive student experiences. Criteria for this award include:

  1. Being readily available and approachable.
  2. Proactively providing support and guidance.
  3. Addressing student concerns with empathy and understanding.
  4. Helping students find belonging.

• Recognition of staff scholarship recipients (Application deadline is May 1.)
