RHERI – Pecan Festival

Meet at the AUM Forest bridge.

•  10 AM presentation on pecan horticulture by David Lawrence, Chilton Research/Extension Center, Alabama Cooperative Extension System
• Collect and plant pecans, search for and mark pecan seedlings, remove invasive plants, and explore the hiking trails.
• Lunch and pecan snacks.
• Dress in clothing appropriate for the outdoors. Sturdy shoes required, long pants and sleeves preferred. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray recommended.
