EEEC Webinar Series: Putting the Pieces Together: Connecting the Classroom to Career

Internships and other forms of experiential learning are key elements of the educational process in the United States today. The transfer of knowledge from classroom to worksite, regardless of the academic major, is a key component to student satisfaction. As faculty members, we can make an impact in creating a meaningful link between the academic realm and the world of work.
We hope you will join the Experiential Education & Engagement Center (EEEC) as we host Dr. Robert Shindell, President & CEO of Intern Bridge, the premier experiential education research and consulting firm, for this series of webcasts, beginning July 23.

August 27: Putting the Pieces Together: Connecting the Classroom to Career – Preparing students for life after their collegiate experience is a primary outcome of higher education today.  To successfully achieve this outcome, internships and other work-based learning has become a popular strategy for students to reinforce and deepen their classroom learning, explore future career fields, and demonstrate their skills in an authentic setting. Before, during, and after these experiences, creating the right environment for students to grow and develop needs to be supported in the classroom.  Join us for this webcast to discuss strategies to help students prepare for and reflect upon experiential learning.
