First half term evaluations open
The Curtiss Course Critiques are now open for the first half term.
Continuing Merit Scholarship available
The Continuing Merit Scholarship application is now available online! The deadline for applications is Friday, March 1.
Merit scholarships open for graduate students
AUM’s Alumni Association is accepting applications for its 2019-2020 Graduate Study Merit Scholarships through Friday, March 15.
In order to qualify, students must be fully admitted to an AUM graduate program, have completed at least nine hours of graduate study and have a current grade point average of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Applications must include two letters of support (preferably from AUM faculty or staff), a 250-word essay on career objectives and a current resume.

AUM softball to host tailgate party
Auburn University at Montgomery’s Alumni Association and athletic department will host an Alumni Tailgate on Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at the AUM Softball Complex. The event is free to alumni. Lunch will be provided and there will be activities for children. Learn more and RSVP at www.aumathletics.com/tailgate.
AUM baseball to play at Riverwalk Stadium
Join us at Riverwalk Stadium on Sunday, March 3 as the AUM baseball team hosts Montevallo in a 1 p.m. series finale. Tickets are available for $5 and can be purchased at www.aumathletics.com/aumriverwalk or by calling the Riverwalk Stadium Ticket Office at 334-323-2255 or AUM Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations Tim Lutz at 334-244-3832.
AUM hosts blood drive for LifeSouth
Be a hero and give the gift of life by participating in the Life South Community Blood Center blood drive co-sponsored by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and AUM Athletics on February 26.

Your mind has a big responsibility in your holistic health and well being. Breaking down the processes of your mind and learning how you are the way you are helps you to take an active role in your well being. Mindfulness teaches you how to increase your awareness of your mental processes and reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed by life.

LGBTQ+ support group to hold meetings
Finding Your Rainbow, a support group for members of the LGBTQ+ community, will meet every Thursday, beginning February 28, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Goodwyn 116. The group is sponsored by AUM’s Counseling and Health Promotion Services office. For more information, call 334-244-3469 or email [email protected].
Spectrum offers Safe Zone training
AUM Spectrum will offer Safe Zone training for faculty and staff, as well as students and members of the general public. The session for AUM faculty and staff will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the training for students and members of the general public will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Safe Zone training offers an opportunity to learn about gender and sexuality, as well as LGBTQ+ identities, and to examine prejudice, assumptions and privilege. The training session is free for attendees. Individuals who are interested in earning continuing education credit hours may pay $65 at the door for the two-hour session. Proceeds will benefit AUM Spectrum.

Green Fest
Spring has finally sprung and with it comes Housing and Residence Life’s annual Kill-A-Watt Challenge!
Every year, Housing and Residence Life encourages residents to embrace the newly warm weather to do something good for the planet, and this year is no exception! Turn off your lights, unplug your electronics, and step out into Green Fest.
There will be lots of eco-friendly activities and games, as well as lots of tasty food!

Political Film Series schedule set
Auburn University at Montgomery’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences will feature a pair of World War II-focused movies, as well as a documentary on Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in its 2019 Political Film Series. The screenings are free and open to the public. Complimentary popcorn and sodas will be available for attendees. The film series schedule can be found at www.aum.edu/politicalfilms.
