Warhawk Spotlight:

Donors provide opportunity for student-athletes

Lt. Col. and Mrs. Clarence Jack Doane have generously given $25,000 to the Auburn University of Montgomery Athletics Baseball Complex.

“The is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. My affiliation with AUM Athletics has allowed me to stay young and help out players in need. With AUM’s move to Division II, it is important that our Athletic facilities are enhance and I am excited to play a role in making that happen. I look forward to others joining me in this important effort,” said Jack Doane.

Calling All Move-In Volunteers!

It’s that time again! Summer has flown by, and it’s time to start thinking about the fall semester. Housing is excited to welcome their new and returning residents, but in order to do so they need your help! Housing is calling for all organization or individual volunteers that would like to assist residents as they move their belongings into the residence halls.

The returning students will be flying back into their nests on Fri., Aug. 17, and new students will be landing for the first time on Sat., Aug. 18. Residents will be allowed to move-in between 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on both days.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet new students, connect with potential members for your club or organization, and make a positive impact on the AUM community. This year, volunteers will be encouraged to wear shirts or logos with their AUM organization or department branding in order to better show our residents all of the exciting opportunities AUM has to offer.

Volunteers will receive a free lunch and a gift identifying them as an AUM Housing volunteer. If you or your organization is interested in participating, please register using the appropriate link below. If you have any questions, please email Housing and Residence Life or call 334-244-3296.
