Dr. Greg Ciesielski is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in the AUM Department of Chemistry. He is an expert in the field of mitochondrial genome maintenance and his research focuses on the pathology of related human diseases. His lab utilizes a wide variety of techniques and methodologies, ranging from in vitro enzymatic assays to human cell cultures. He is an outstanding problem solver and research mentor. In acknowledgement of his impactful efforts he was recently awarded the College of Sciences Research Award (2020). In addition, Dr. Ciesielski serves as the Chair of the Undergraduate Research Committee at AUM, which aims to boost students’ involvement in research activities.
