Biology Health Sciences Concentration

For students preparing for application to, and admission tests for, healthcare professional schools.

Molecular Biology Concentration

Designed for students who want to further their education through graduate school or for entry-level positions in biological research and technology laboratories. This option will also provide a solid foundation for application to health-related professional schools.

Public Health and Microbiology Concentration

Prepares graduates for technical work or admission into graduate school in microbial disease systems using polymerase chain reaction, other molecular diagnostic tools as well as environmental and industrial applications of microbial systems.

Mathematics

The Mathematics Department offers an exciting and distinctive bachelor degree in mathematics.  The department also offers an undergraduate degree in secondary education with an emphasis in Mathematics through cooperation with the College of Education, as well as, a pre-engineering focused tract.

Psychology

The psychology major offers students a robust education in scientific psychology. Some students will use the major as a stepping-stone to graduate school in psychology.  Others will use it as preparation for law school or a future career in education, counseling or business.  In addition, our research labs can help you develop essential critical thinking and data analysis skills.

Geographic Information Systems Certificate

In addition to a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, AUM offers a GIS certificate designed to satisfy the educational component for certification by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI), a nationally and internationally recognized certification organization.
