The Master of Accountancy program offers an experience for students to develop their skills that will enhance their chances of successful accounting careers in private practice, government, business, and nonprofit organizations. The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program is designed to develop the dynamic skill sets required for an accounting professional in a strategic leadership position in a globally competitive environment. This program offers an experience for students to develop their skills that will enhance their chances of successful accounting careers in private practice, government, business, and nonprofit organizations, as well as preparation to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination.

Graduate Programs

The AUM College of Business mission is to prepare students for successful careers by providing quality educational opportunities utilizing dedicated faculty, stakeholder collaboration, and small class sizes.

MAcc Admission Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. Official transcripts required at time of application. If you do not have a degree in accounting, you can still qualify for the MAcc by completing all prerequisite* Accounting courses.
  • A satisfactory Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) Score (current within 5 years) unless you have an accounting certification (i.e.; CPA, CMA, CIA, CGMA, CISA, CGFM) or a graduate degree from an accredited college of university.

Additional information

  • Meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee admission into the MAcc program.
  • Relevant work or internship experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Convenient class times for working professionals.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fee information is available from AUM’s cashier’s office (244-3286). Additional financial information, including financial aid and scholarships can be obtained from AUM’s financial aid office (244-3571).

You must complete each of the courses listed above with a minimum grade of C.

Yes. MAcc students can be full-time or part-time. There is a five year limitation for completion of the Master of Accountancy degree once classes have been taken.

Yes. MAcc students are eligible for accounting scholarships available through the School of Accountancy.

Applications should be made online at www.aum.edu/admissions/graduate-student-admisstions. Submit application and $25 application fee.
