The Office of Collaborative Partnership and Distance Education is responsible for creating partnerships between International and National Universities. It is also responsible for creating pathways for undergraduate students, where students can successfully articulate their credit hours from community colleges to Auburn University at Montgomery and matriculate with a four year degree in the shortest period of time. Thus, the office also works with the local and surrounding colleges to form partnerships so students can transfer their community college credit hours, concurrently take classes at AUM and take their credits back to the community college(reverse transfer) and get an Associates degree from their respective colleges.
Auburn University at Montgomery supports the statewide initiative started by Articulation and General Studies Committee (AGSC), established 25 years ago in 1994, Statewide Transfer and Articulation Reporting System (STARS) and recently by Complete college America (CCA).
Five Guiding Principles Established by AGSC
All public institutions of higher education who receive state funding must adhere to the statewide transfer policy set forth by the AGSC.
