The Special Education department of the College of Education uses a blend of technology and media to support candidates in a variety of learning environments. Courses focus on topics such as assistive technology, autism, behavior management, assessment, working with parents and families and high incidence disabilities. Our Alternative Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education prepares teachers to provide specially designed instruction for students with exceptionalities and to work across diverse educational settings. This program is designed for students who have not earned an undergraduate education degree or teacher certification.
