Dan Davis was named interim head coach of the AUM women’s basketball program this week by AUM Athletic Director Steve Crotz.

“I am excited to have this opportunity to be the interim head coach this year and to lead our young ladies,” said Davis.  “I have always wanted to be a collegiate head coach and I am looking forward to working with the returning players and the new players I recruited this past season."

Yanyi Djamba, director of the Center for Demographic Research and associate professor of sociology, co-authored and published an article titled "Intimate Partner Violence among Married Women in Kenya" in the August issue of Journal of Asian and African Studies (Vol. 43, No. 4, pp. 457-469). This article was co-authored with Sitawa Kimuna of East Carolina University.

Angela and Steven Kendrick of Prattville will join the AUM athletic department this fall as cheerleading coaches. The Kendricks come to AUM with several years of experience in cheerleading coaching. The husband-wife duo own and operate American All Stars Inc. out of Prattville, where they have been training and coaching cheer programs for many years. Full Story.
