Dr. Glenda Reynolds is Professor of Counseling in the Department of Counselor, Leadership and Special Education. She had Alabama teaching certification in elementary education, science, special education, vocational education (7-12) and counseling (expired). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has a private practice where she counsels pro bono one day a week. She has held many offices in the Alabama Counseling Association and its divisions and chapters and serves on several committees for the American Counseling Association and American School Counseling Association. She has worked with the Alabama State Department of Education to develop the school counseling program plan and PRAXIS for school counselors. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), National Certified School Counselor (NCSC) and Fellow of the American Psychotherapy Association. Her research interests include multicultural issues, school counseling and technology as it is used in areas related to counseling. She is a recipient of the Jean Cecil Distinguished Teacher Award, and the Robert A. Wieseman Excellence in Teaching Award.
