|David R. Lange joined the Finance Faculty in 1989. Dr. Lange has received several teaching awards: School of Business Award for Excellence in Teaching (1993), University Distinguished Teaching Professor (1996), FMA Financial Education Competitive Paper (1998) and Academy of Economics and Finance Teaching Fellow (2001). His research activity is highlighted by his selection as the Lowder-Weil Professor of Finance and Chair of the Applied Life Insurance Education & Research Program. Previously, he had received the American College Outstanding Paper Award in Insurance (1995), and AUM School of Business Award for Excellence in Research (1995).Dr. Lange's publications include: Journal of Risk and Insurance, North American Actuarial Journal, Journal of Financial Planning, Advances in Financial Education, Financial Practice and Education, Journal of the Academy of Business Education, Southern Business & Economic Journal, Journal of Applied Case Research, Journal of Management; and: Academy of Economics & Finance, Academy of Financial Services, American Academy of Accounting & Finance, American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences and International Symposium on Cash, Treasury & Working Capital Management Proceedings. Dr. Lange has an active professional service record: Academy of Economics & Finance Director, Program Chair and President, as well as Director for the Eastern Finance and Southern Finance Associations. He has served on the editorial board for Financial Decisions, Journal of Applied Business Research, Journal of Research in Finance, and Southern Business & Economic Journal.
