| Dr. David Ang is an professor of Information Systems and Decision Science in the School of Business, where he teaches courses in Operations Management and Information Systems. His research and academic interests are primarily in areas pertaining to the strategic dimensions of operations management and decision support systems -- in particular, quality management, lean production, cellular manufacturing and decision support systems. His professional interests led him to a job in the manufacturing and servicing industry, where he was a research engineer and decision support systems software developer before joining AUM. Ang has published more than 30 refereed journal articles and conference proceedings articles in his research and academic interest areas. He has been an active member of INFORMS, the Production and Operations Management Society and the Decision Sciences Institute. He is active with campus governance, having served on various campus and school committees, including the Faculty Senate and University Scholarship Committee. He chaired the University Teaching Effectiveness Committee and a School of Business Self-Study Accreditation Committee. |
