Blackboard and Tech Help

  • My AUM: Login to the AUM portal to gain access to campus resources.
  • Blackboard FAQ and Online Help Desk: Help with AUM’s learning management system and other online tools

  • Blackboard Student Resource and Orientation Course: Enrolled students can find this course in Blackboard.

Technology Resources

  • Respondus LockDown Browser is a secure browser used when taking tests in Blackboard.
  • Java: A free download that helps certain Blackboard features run in a variety of browsers
  • Mozilla Firefox is the recommended browser for Blackboard.

 Online Academic Support

You can call 334-244-3649 and ask questions via the Reference Desk phone and/or voicemail system. If logistically feasible, you can visit the AUM Library Reference Department, or schedule face-to-face or virtual reference consultations with AUM librarians. 

  • The AUM Library provides Virtual Reference Services where you can communicate with AUM Library personnel. The Virtual Reference Services include the following:
    • Ask YOUR Library – Visit us to browse our FAQs. From that page, submit a question through our system. The expected turnaround answer time is 24 hours on weekdays, and 48 hours on weekends.
  • Chat With YOUR Library – Instantly connect and chat in real time with librarians and library staff members during the chat hours of operations. Typically the hours of operations follow the Library’s standard operating hours. Simply click the Chat icon or wait 30 seconds for a prompt message to appear, from which you’ll launch a chat with a library operator.
  • Text YOUR Library – Text 334-384-1851to ask any type of question. The expected turnaround answer time is 24 hours on weekdays, and 48 hours on weekends. All library personnel that provide face-to-face reference assistance conduct virtual reference assistance.
