Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the University Honors Program at Auburn Montgomery!
Our program is designed to help the very best students in each of AUM’s five colleges to maximize their potential. Honors seminars at AUM are small, usually with a student/teacher ratio of 10:1 or lower, and emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to the topics being studied. Honors faculty members are some of the finest instructors at the university, committed to mentoring students and developing their talents. And the Honors community is a vibrant one, providing social and service opportunities for its members throughout the year.
At its core, the University Honors Program is committed to pursuing three principal goals:
- Critical and creative thinking;
- Teamwork and leadership; and
- Global citizenship.
Everything we do, from in-class assignments to service projects to study abroad trips, is designed with these goals in mind. If the idea of participating in a diverse community dedicated to achieving these goals is as exciting to you as it is to us, you’ll find yourself right at home in the AUM Honors Program.
There is quite a lot of information contained in these pages; I hope you will take a look around. I suspect you will like what you see.
